Tuesdays of Lent

Reading and Faith sharing

Tuesday 3rdMarch 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Starts with tea/coffee and quick hello

Followed by an introduction to the book and chapter. Ten minute for reading of chapter with five minuets quiet reflection. Then 25 minuets sharing and a concluding prayer.

The book we will read is provided free. The title of the book: Prayer – Our Deepest Longing by Ronald Rolheiser.

This is a book for all manner of believers, whether your faith is solidly rooted, wavering between childhood religion and adult faith, or just not sure what you believe--or whether you believe at all.

Wednesdays of Lent

Students & Young City Workers Evening Meal and Friendship                             beginning Wednesday 4thMarch 7pm – 9pm

The menus for the first evening will organised by De Mazenod House and all the other evenings organised by the group themselves with a focus on living faith, and as a support for each other. It will include an occasional speaker. 

 

 

Thursdays of Lent

Spiritual Accompaniment Drop-in

We are offering this free opportunity for anyone to drop by and engage in conversation on their faith-life journey. It will be on a first-come-first-served basis starting at 11am running through the day until 4pm. Drop in and take a chance or book now!

 

Christian Meditation5:30pm – 6:30pm

This precious time consists of a short reflective reading followed by a period of silent contemplative prayer. No experience is needed. Just come along and try it out!

 

 

Fridays of Lent

Lunch & Listening in the Year of the Word

After the 1pm Mass come and join us for a simple lunch of soup and bread or bring your own lunch if you like! 

We will listen to a short scripture passage followed by a three minute thought to support us on our Lenten journey.

Programme Title Content

Individually Guided Retreat

A silent, scripture-based retreat.
Reflective Days A day planned around your needs with the opportunity for a one-to-one conversation
Spiritual Accompanyment A one-to-one conversation about life and faith
City Retreat A Retreat for individuals or groups of up to six.  It involves experiencing the city, its story and its people and reflecting on that experience.  The Retreat can be for between one and six days duration.
One-day Retreats in Advent or Lent These Retreats are open to individuals or small groups.  Parishes and Faith Groups may wish ro book these.
Themed Retreats Retreats following particular themes will be organised on a regular basis or on request from a group.
Workshop Days Worshops on such issues as Justice and Peace, Integrity of Creation, Local Faith History and Adult Faith Formation.
Leadership Training Organised to suit the needs of Parish Teams and other small groups.

Quiet time in the city

Individuals are welcom to come for a time of reflection, prayer or reading. Guests are welcome on a daily basis or as residential.

Christian Meditation

Thursdays 5.30 -6.30 pm.   All Welcome. No Experience Neeeded. A time of guided stillness and silence.
